MealVault is built and run by one person. The fastest way to get help, report a bug, or ask a question is to email zack@nymbl.app. Replies usually come within a day or two.
Common questions
I forgot my password.
On the login screen, tap "Forgot password" (or use the equivalent flow on the web). MealVault sends a reset link to the email on file. If you no longer have access to that email, contact us at zack@nymbl.app and we will help you recover the account.
How do I delete my account?
See the account deletion page. The short version: open the app's Profile / Settings and use the "Delete account" option, or email zack@nymbl.app from the address on your account.
What happens to my voice recordings?
Voice recordings are sent to OpenAI's transcription API to be turned into text. The audio file is discarded after transcription completes. Only the resulting text transcript is stored with your visit. See the privacy policy for full detail on third-party data flows.
Can two people in the same household share data?
Yes. Open the Family tab in the app to invite another member -- they get their own login and taste profile but see the same shared restaurant list and visits. Up to four members per household.
How do I export my data?
Open Profile -> Export. The app generates a CSV containing your visits and item feedback, which you can save or share via the system share sheet.
What if the app shows the wrong AI summary?
AI-generated summaries are best-effort -- the underlying models occasionally hallucinate or merge dishes incorrectly. You can edit any visit by hand, or delete the summary and re-generate it. If a specific class of error keeps recurring, drop us a line so we can fix the prompt.
Reporting a security issue
If you have found a vulnerability, email zack@nymbl.app with the subject line "MealVault security" and a description of the issue. We treat these reports with priority and will reply within 24 hours.
Status
The web app lives at
app.mealvault.app and the API at
api.mealvault.app. If both feel down, it is probably the case. Email
us and we will look at it.
